The original viola however (which is still on the site) was recorded on yours. FWIW, I think the old one has some weird acoustics going on there. It also has some even weirder editing where the start of the sounds are chopped off, I assume in the original masters.
Thanks for the clarification, Mike. Sounds as if the new viola is well worth investigating because I certainly don't like the old one.
