I often wish I'd bought a modular synth in the 80's when people were giving them away. Average price now is 10,000 quid upwards.
 
I can't complain as I bought my first M400 for 150 quid at about the same time.
 
Conversely the Fairlight was 30,000 quid then and about 2,500 now...
