I used to feel that way, but after having so many pass through my hands in the last few years, I don't so much anymore. I've had mixed feelings about letting two Trons go, however. 1562 was MY Mellotron. I loved it and it was played live in many, many shows, and it was recorded many times. #600 (Lazarus) was also very hard to part with. What made it better for me was that both went to great homes. A guy on this list bought #600 before it was even close to being finished. He lives nearby, and knowing that a talented musician who gave a shit was buying it made it all the more worthwhile to make it as good as I could. I would have liked to have kept that one too but then I would have been less motivated to move on. I know where several more are... just waiting for me.
