First of all, we shouldn't be posting any sort of political/religious/cultural things on this
list, for whatever good/bad reasons. I feel very strongly about this. It happened a few
times on the old list and it was never a good thing. If you want to post the sort of
message Frank did, take the time to make up a list of people to whom you want to send it,
and do it that way. Blanketing all of us is unfair and divisive. My opinion is that we should
have an unwritten rule that we stay away from this stuff. It's not why we're here. Sorry,
Frank, I feel you didn't do a wise thing. Send that sort of email back channel. If it's that
important to you, make up a broadcast list.

Second, before you send out anything that is even remotely suspect, please check it on a
site such as snopes.com. There is a lot of shit floating around out there on the net. I'm
sure that everyone gets bulldoodie emails weekly. I've gotten caught passing this crap on
almost too many times to count and I now make it a policy to check out everything. Also,
the folks at Snopes are happy to investigate anything you come up with if they don't
already know about it. People send out stupid or malicious or untrue things for whatever
reasons they have, and I, for one, refuse to help them anymore. So before you send out
that photo of an unsuspecting skin diving couple with the huge shark floating just behind
them, do a little research and cut down on a bit of useless traffic on the Internet
