Sure do it's called "black" it's a darker shade of white.
Makes them look more distinct (ask Fripp).
Sorry but I couldn't resist.

Subject: [newmellotrongroup] So what white?

I'm feeling like it's time to restore her paint to it's original beauty. I want to do things to improve #857 that don't cost a lot of money right now. Considering that at some point, my Mellotron was painted with a brush with white latex house paint, I'm sure I won't have trouble bettering it's appearance.

But what is the proper white? There are spots where I think I see the original color. But I can't tell if it's the effect of a 30 year old film of nicotine or if someone spilled the bongwater on it too many times.

So, does anyone know the right shade? Refrigerator white? Ivory? Gray white? Cream? Light almond? I believe it's supposed to be satin. But am I wrong? Is it gloss? Any brand of paint (preferably from a can) that is preferred?

Any help is appreciated.
