Erm. I first heard it in the Marriot-Courtyard commericals, MkII violins. Wal-Mart, Quaker Oatmeal, HSBC bank, and a few others that I can't recall have MkII flute. The HSBC one was hard to tell as the mix of other things was dense enough that you just couldn't tell if that was a 'tron or just tinny real flute. The ending note was the D above the staff and that resolved ALL POSSIBLE DOUBT. (AH! TRIO!)
Curse the corporate marketing machine! It used to be cool and awesome to talk to people about Mellotrons! Now it's, oh, oh, oh, didja see the Quaker Oatmeal Commercial? Yeah man!
