Never though you were lazy. I was just thinking that if you had Photoshop, it's easier to learn how to use what you need than going out and buying another program and learning that. The learning curve is the same, regardless of the package.

I have 2 degrees in computers and a lot more hours than I need for a Ph.D.
Been in this field since 1977 when a fast modem was 75 BAUD.

Tony,

Professionally speaking, Photoshop is the only way to go. Yes, it is a huge program and seems very confusing, but if you have it already, I would suggest learning how to do the things you want to do with it. Just because it's a huge program that does basically anything you could possibly want it to do, doesn't mean that you have to know everything about it.

So if you do have it, you might want to check out the tutorials at lynda.com. They are really terrific and the site has tutorials that cover just about any software you might want to use. Everything is clear and concise and you could learn that bit you need to know about Photoshop, quickly and easily.

Two or three of my "hobbyist" friends say Photoshop Elements is quite good and with a free trial, you could check it out before laying down your cash.

What are some of you using as a photo editing program?
I don't like Photoshop, so other than that what's the "bomb"?
Corel is good for me, but I like to explore some other options.

Thanks,
