Hey Frank- Holey Blue Tron! Of course we remember it. I dunno, the blue kinda grows on you... But, who am I to question a 'Tron Tech with a M4000? Love to see it when it's finished. Have fun stripping ol' Blue. -Bruce D. #1221 --- On Thu, 9/10/09, lsf5275@aol.com <lsf5275@aol.com> wrote:

Some of you might remember the Blue Mellotron ( #1018) with the Unicorn on it. Well, it soon will be white again (although I am retaining the blue back panel with the unicorns on it). Here are some photos of it as I continue to bring it back from the horror that it was. It already has a new owner who is patiently awaiting its return to service. I have also just completed restoration of #1342. The photos of it are at the bottom. The owner elected not to have the cabinet refinished on the outside. It sounds incredible. | | Sweet! |
| | Obviously not played in a while |
| | I imagine some of this dust is 1970s dust. |
| | Someone tries to make it play looped tapes. |
| | As you can see, no spill box. |
| | It has one now. |
| | Awaiting the cabinet. I am rebuilding the keyboard now. |
| | I tried painting the inside blue but found it overwhelming, so its new owner agreed that we will paint the whole thing white again. It used to be black for a while before it was painted blue. I have since re-veneered the edges and stripped it to bare wood. |
| | 1342 - A new motor is always a good investment. The heavier gage, stronger late model frame only requires one lower spill box bracket. |

| | Auto polishing compound cleaned up a lot of the scratches and got rid of the yellow in the paint. |
