Incidentally, that's where the infamous cat sound originated -- using real cats and a horrific torture device to make them "sing". The Normans (no relation to Mssr. Leete, by the by) then riffed off that idea for the original 8 choir, but it was horribly expensive to do, since it involved depleting one's work force of serfs in order to get the desired effect.
