"Craving penetrations offer links with the self instructor's sharp
and tender love as we took to the air, a picture of distance.
Dawn of our power we amuse redescending as fast as misused
Expression, as only to teach love as to reveal passion chasing
Late into corners, and we danced from the ocean.
Dawn of love sent within us colours of awakening among the many
Won't to follow, only tunes of a different age, as the links span
Our endless caresses for the freedom of life everlasting"

Well, I think that puts a bow on it...

I'm feeling a lot of love here!

I totally agree... The time surrounding "Close..." and "Tales..." is still the most important time of life....  The sounds, the shows at the Spectrum and those memories (I think) will be cherished forever...

I didn't mean to be so hard on the Moodies.... :)

Listen to Jim!

Topographic Oceans is a masterpiece, in my opinion.

It's something (like water) to immerse yourself in (pardon the pun).

Sorry but it can'thelp to be introduced to the piece so many years after it's release.

Times and tastes have changed, but Close to the Edge and Tales are still fresh to my ears and many live experiences with both albums refreshes the feelings everytime.

My 2 cents worth,

Caffeine will not help in the attempt to enjoy Topographic Oceans. It will only frustrate you. Try the opposite end of the narcotic spectrum- barbiturates.

It doesn't matter if we are talking about the music, album cover art, lyrics or mullets. I can say that the Tarkus album cover art was complete crap. Someone else can say it was the best album cover ever. It would be awfully boring if everyone agreed on everything.

Speaking of boring... Topographic Oceans - I've tried many times to get into that album. I will try again, after a few Red Bulls.
