You may blend ADJACENT tracks only,A-B, B-C with the older and most recent tapes.
There are some exceptions with the tapes earlier on, now resolved.

It won't hurt it to change or blend tracks while playing. The tape rubs over the surface of the heads anyway. The side to side movement of the tape heads during track blending or switching wont make a difference.

Sorry if this question has been asked already. While I was recording last night, I was blending between the 3 tracks. Should I stop playing the note/chord before I move the ABC switch? I wasn't having any trouble and it was easier to get the mix I wanted while doing both. Just wondering what others do. Was the M400 actuall designed to blend the tracks?

Thanks,
