Sorry to hear about you CS70, I used to repair that series up to the CS 80 and they were a bitch to tune! Metal trim pots sure didn't help any.
Good luck with it's repair, someone out there must be serving them somewhere.

-I've got two weird favorites aside from my all time favorite , the Mellotron (any mellotron
or Chamberlin for that matter). One is a Yamaha CS70. It is a big, weird, music lab of a
thing- full of surprises, analog oscillators, digitally controlled. The other is the gleeman
pentaphonic, a fun synth the size of a breadbox with three oscillators and a 100 patch
memory. Sadly it crapped out a couple of years ago and I haven't found someone to fix it.
I think any british Vox Continental that has bad action needs to go to the shop. Maybe the
keys swelled up or something? I can't imagine, mine has great action. Which brings me to
my all time favorite keyboard- the UNIVOX (Telstar)- no, I don't have one. TD
