Well I've always been a big fan of Pinder's playing, as well as Wolly, Mcdonald and even Fripp but these days Fritz's "Feeling of Far" (the whole thing) and Dickson's "Mellotronworks" I feel are astounding. As far as other past and present players they may be mediocre but I seem to like the tron on even the crappiest of songs. I love the sound of the things.
