The best one I can think of is Simon House, on "D-Riders" from
Hawkwind's "Hall of the Mountain Grill". there's this solo in it,
played on one of the choral tapesets, I've never heard a tron break I
like better. House is somewhat underrated among '70's keyboard
players, I think, and that mellotron/heavy/gothic sound that Hawkwind
had on that album and the one after it is very pleasing to me. It's a
pity there's so little of it, really.
