Okay- I know Ill get into trouble on this but........ Please explain to me ( as if to an idiot) why the value of an instrument that is 35+ years and one of only 1000 or so in the world shouldnt double or triple or even be ten times the original asking price? Ive watched the price of fender and gibson guitars that my friends bought with paper route money go out the roof so why not mellotrons? Im not saying I want this to be the case , Im just wondering why it isnt so. $5800 IS a lot of money considering that the machine will need a couple of thousand to bring it up to optimum playing order but it didnt look that bad.
