Hi Lee,
The short answer is: The new tape frame is mechanically a big improvement on the old, new tape springs, turnbuckles with axles and rollers etc. I ordered the new tape frame with the voices I thought I would want to use most often but I have changed my mind. I want to put new tapes into the new frame and move the current tapes into the old frame as a back up. I don't plan to changed the tape frames very often but I certainly would not want to bin a new set of tapes even if I am not going to use them much!

Incidentally thinking of this has suggested a possible partial solution, I could swap the tape springs and turnbuckles between frames and then just relace the tapes in the old frame and use that, hmm not sure if that is much easier.

I have 2 tape frames, the one that came with #1565 and abrand new one. I would like to move the tapes from the new frame intothe old tape frame and put a new set of tapes into the new tape frame.I don't think there is an easy way to do this but if any body has somegood ideas, my lumbosacral spine and myself would be grateful.
