Although the Pianet strikes me as a bad Rhodes (boy, that's redundant) that sounds more like the problem of a band choosing material they weren't equipped to do, not a fault of the instrument.  If you can't make a song sound right because of equipment limitations, choose another song.

Almost forgot to nominate the infamous Hohner Pianet.  It was the only thing our keyboard player had in the early '70's and I absolutely hated it, particularly when we played "Won't Get Fooled Again".  Power chords with backing from the neighborhood ice cream truck!
