I took a different tack - I told him I didn't want anybody other than him to do mine and that I wasn't in any hurry, that I wanted to just send it and let him work on it when he got to it because it wasn't doing any good sitting around my house, and that I wouldn't ask him about it and would just wait until he contacted me and told me it was done.  It took the better part of a year, but I got it back and it's wonderful.  I didn't have any updates or mods done, I wanted to be able to get familiar with a really stock early Seventies 2600 for now and I can always get it upgraded at a later date.  It worked for me and I got just what I wanted out of the deal, so I'm happy with how everything went.

he did my 2600 as well and it kicks....

congrats...
he kinda yanked me around about my odyssey for months.
i was all ready to drive it to him and drop it off.
he kept pushing it back over and over...
i finally bought a few new sliders from synthfool and put them in myself.
it was a lot easier than i thought, and now i can clean and refurbish the ones i removed, and use them to replace another set of four, and continue until all the linear 100ks are refurbed [and most of the sliders on an odyssey are 100k linear]. if you take them apart carefully they can be cleaned up pretty nicely, though not as smooth as the new ones, they are a lot better than having 30+ years of gunk and dust in them!

i have heard nothing but good things about his work [other than taking forever], but he kinda hosed me by not accepting the work after promising to do so. oh well...

...jeff

and congrats on the wurly, fritz. i adore those things.
