Thanks, Jeff, but my group preferences are already set up that way. I don't get any images in either group or e-mail format. I prefer using e-mail format. The images disappeared after my email compose screen changed format & gained the toolbar. A global change of the e-mail interface, I guess, but not one I chose. There is an Adobe Acrobat pop-up that keeps pestering me to update a file that seems unrelated to this subject. It doesn't say that the update is free, so I just cancel it.
