In fairness, having viewed the 600 at the guy's studio, he does have a few pieces of vintage recording gear and amps that I'd sure like to have in MY studio. The previous owner lives nearby and also had a MkII (also not in very good condition) at the time he owned this 600, along with a small R.A. Moog modular synth, a Studer A800 24-track and an old EMI board (which he claimed came from Abbey Road). Both are the offspring of rich parents who have $ to burn and both have a grossly overinflated opinion as to what these respective pieces of equipment is worth.

the seller's previous transactions are sometimes a clue to validity.
if somebody has been selling exclusively ceramic knick-knacks and
bric-a-brac for 5 years, then suddenly turns up with a chamberlin
or an ems synthi, it's possibly a stolen account. this seller does
not have a lot of activity, and much of it is stretched over a long
period of time, makingit hard to determine what they have been dealing
in - the last tranaction was incomplete and was for a lexicon 480L at
over $6000. hard to say, but i'd be wary for sure...
