Attached a few screen shots based on the information Bruce gave. Am I on the right track with this?

Kind regards,
Ben

Wow Bruce, that’s really some comprehensive information, thanks!!

So sorry about the crack. If this works out I’ll send you a couple of spare caps. :)

Kind regards,
Ben

Hi all-

Okay, I popped my cap off #1221, and here are some measurements & pix attatched.  Pay attention tronsters, because I'm not doing this again.  Being very myopic helps with the measurements.
Height is 13mm.
OD is 13mm.
Lower flange diameter is 16mm, and is 1.5mm high.
ID is a tight 11mm.
Inner depth is 12mm.
There are 4 x 2mm ribs running down from the inner cap top.  3 run for only 5mm, one runs 8mm.  The longer rib fits the keyway on the switch proper, engaging the rotational switch mechanism.  The tension ring is just that, supplying outward tension against the inner wall of the cap, keeping it in stasis.  The other ribs limit the downward mounting depth to the top of the switch proper.

Don't forget that there are 4 x 1mm wide ribs running vertical on the outside, 0.75mm thick and equally spaced.  Helps with the grip.  AND, there is an inner bullseye pattern at the top to diffuse the light.

The 2 pix show the cap underside (note the 2 different lengths of the inner ribs).  The other is the switch proper (note the keyway and tension ring).

Dammit, now there's a tiny crack in the cap.  Oh, well.  Hope this helps.

I think it actually snaps over an
expansion ring that fits in a recess below the threads.

Ben, the red lens cap screws

exterior dimensions.

     Hi John,
Any info is appreciated, thanks! I
did a quick test print, and it looks like it might work. :)
See attached photo.
If
yours is broken, I’d be interested to have a photo of the
inside. I have no idea how it actually was fixed on the
switch. I see a little vertical slit, and then there’s
sort of a round snap ring.

Hi,I have had the same idea, but never got around
to buying the printer yet. I will dig around for the pieces
of mine that I think I saved for the exact purpose. Will
forward info if I find something. In any case, please add me
to the list. Rather than bust fingers turning on the switch
I put it on a remote wall switch, but it would be nice to
fix that issue. Thanks BenJohn From: newmellotrongroup@

3d printed M400 power
cap   Hi,

I have found this really nice
transparant red filament for my 3D printer, so I thought
I’d have a go at printing a cap for my M400’s power
switch.

Problem is
obviously that I do not have the original cap. I’d greatly
appreciate it if somebody could supply me with some close-up
photo’s and/or dimensions.

Best regards,
Ben
