Subject: RE: [newmellotrongroup] Looking for M400 on/off switch

I gave up on that quest years ago. The switch is a piece of crap. The plastic, like the spacesuits from the sixties, deteriorates over the years. Even new old stock (NOS) switches would likely suffer the fate of many – they break from the torque needed to rotate the switch. Mine was replaced after restoration, and it lasted six months. Martin indicated they had some for their own restoration but none for sale. I opted for a nice old fashioned looking toggle. Don’t have to get finger blisters turning it on.

Even mouser.com had nothing. Good luck, as I have seen nothing even resembling this anywhere that is new.

Subject: [newmellotrongroup] Looking for M400 on/off switch

Hi,

I'm the happy owner of a couple of nice M400 but one haven't it's original on/off switch. I've tried to find one but it seems to be impossible... if anyone knows where I could find one that would be just fantastic!

Thanks a lot

David
