I don't know if anybody on the list uses Korg Module on the ipad but there is a mellotron module in the store which can be downloaded for free at the moment. It uses unlooped samples but they are mapped across the whole keyboard.
I am not sure what they sampled, the violin tape set number 2 is quite nice to my ears and the flute is passable. I wouldn't pay to use them but they are quite handy to have.
