Great story!  You just made me smile.  I love animals.

Excellent, guys!  Yeah, cats and 'Trons may want to be kept a few feet apart, especially if you don't frequently vacuum the insides of your 'Tron for the possible fur! I WILL say, however, that cats & synths can work! My first cat ever, Alexander, LOVED music, & would lie along the keys of my MiniMoog when it was on, with his elbows pressing the lowest keys. I'd leave the volume low, but "let him have it" if it wasn't interfering with anything I was doing at the moment. I think it was equivalent to "Super-Mom" purring or something for him, and the pitch would change of course, as he'd shift his weight. I just liked "hearing him play!"

The BEST example though... I used to have a small lamp over the right end of my ol' Kurzweil 1000 keyboard, & Alexander's little sister, Ganymede, used to loved curling up on the blank panel there over the keys, enjoying the warmth of the lamp, and being near "her dad." So I was recording a score for a ghost story Book-On-Tape one time, playing a part in real time to the pre-recorded reading. (Using in an early version of Performer... no "Digital" then.)  I was putting down a haunting, spooky-kinda string bass line, and planning at a particular cue, to add some high, discordant "Psycho"(-ISH) string squeaks. That point was just coming up, when little Ganymede decided to stand up and stretch. Helpless to do anything unless I just stopped playing, I was thinking "No, no, no, PLEASE don't hit the keys!" Well, she did a little semi-pirouette, stretching as she rotated in a circle, and sure enough, as she turned a couple of her feet did hit some upper keys, randomly, briefly... PERFECTLY!  She curled back up, I kept playing, and later, removed only the last note she'd hit, which really didn't work. I wouldn't have done any better myself, & Gany got credit for the part in my notes. I admit I was immensely amused and amazed! She had NO idea, of course, why I gave her some treats after that.  I had nothing to add... nothing to say but "Wow, THANKS!"

Fun stuff.  No "You-Tube kitties" then, but it got pointed out enough when I'd play the cue for others. Give credit where credit is due, right?

Cheers!
