good to hear that. Mainly i am a bassist myself. I bought the nord electro 3 to have everthing into one unit. Mellotron and Chamberlin licensed the libraries but its not the same by any means.

I haven’t been able to compare it to anything, but I read that the Memotron works with CD-roms and loading times. They don’t sell Mellotrons in the Netherlands (also no digital ones). 

I’m very impressed with the sounds and the playability, but you got to know that I never played any other sort of Mellotron before. I wanted to buy the mini at first, but decided to go for the M4000d. I wasn’t really able to afford it and should have gone for the mini, but I will just live on water and bread for a few months now ;)

It’s my first keyed instrument after playing the guitar for many years, so I have to learn to play it in a nice way. It’s great fun!

Do you know if there’s a standard password in the Mellotron when you try to set and lock the user info in the menu? 
I can enter all my info, but when trying to password protect it, then it asks for an already existing password… I hope it’s a standard one from the factory.
