As best as I can judge from previously owning and operating an M400? Yes! Actually from what I have learned, it is one step closer to the actual original recordings due to the 24 bit, non-compressed method/process Markus used. And, I really DO NOT miss the inherited "background hiss" on my M400. Some will say "it is part of the charm". Hiss is charm?Rich D.

is it as accurate ?
Sent from my iPhoneWell? I do now own an M4000D and am very excited about it. The way it works, the way it sounds, ease of mobility, clarity and stability of the sound which is excellent. Again having owned and recorded my own M400 back in the 70's. I am able to make a genuine judgement.
But? If I decide to go with a home/studio unit, I would like to and may be personally visiting Martins' place...Rich D.
