Most of it is (to my ears) a ham-fisted attempt to steal ideas by people
who can actually write. Some of it is so primitive that it's laughable -
Genesis are a prime example. It's not that they cannot play their
instruments - they obviously can - but they are so /mannered/. The
lyrics don't exactly help either. I still think that my abiding
fondnress for King Crimson lies in the fact that their best work was
always done when the singer simply shut up and let the rest of the band
get on with it.
