What CD version of "Foxtrot" do you have? I seriously wouldn't touch
the recent high-tech remasters with a bargepole. I bought a couple of
them and unloaded them ASAP. Glad I kept my old Genesis CDs. The newer
super-duper reissues have all been given modern mastering and are far
worse for it IMO. Go back to the vinyl or the first US CDS, or even
the first remaster series from the early/mid 90s. You'll find there's
a whole lot more dynamics there than you're hearing, if you have the
version I suspect you have. YMMV.
