Congrats to all the lads at Mellotronics!  Thanks for the machines, the tapes, and the parts.

I heard it first on "Strawberry Fields" and "Tuesday Afternoon", but didn't know what it was.
The Moodies "In Search Of..." made me aware of it, but strangely I didn't like it.
Finally, I got to play one in 1975.  My eyes glazed over, and I was hooked.

 Cheers!

Strawberry Fields was first, but I probably didn't realize it. ITCOTCK was the album that took me for a ride, as far as figuring out what a tron was.

There was this time with my mom, I was probably 14 years old.  We were in Allentown PA for some reason and I wanted to walk by Crest Music Center to see if it was open.  It was not. I could see in the back of the store an M400 sitting there, and I just longed to play it.  I still have that vivid memory.  The M400 felt so exotic to me. I was so into British RnR and the tron felt like England to me.

First was probably 'Strawberry Fields', like an awful lot of people.

First time was on Days of Future Past...the purple double-domes had just kicked in.
