Thanks Martin, unfortunately I need the Ipad as well and I suppose I would really have to get the ipad 2 rather than the mini. I am fairly tempted to get one, there are some great music apps for it which seem to be good value for money. I am particularly keen on the Animoog, Samplr and the Korg Polysix apps and of course the M3000, I am assuming the m300a violins will be in the next update? Not essential though as my own samples have a very individual sound to them.
Cheers
Mark

You need a USB midi keyboard and the lead that allows you to plug USB into an iPad. Keyboard - GBP80, lead - GBP15. You probably already have a keyboard so it's just the lead.
