You could try that, but you're also in danger of getting the tape caught on other things as you wind it back.

Some of the M300's were prone to this problem because of the material the guides were made from.

You have to cycle these models manually (only by hand).

So my question is,,,, should I try try to manually roll the drum back to station 1 hoping the tape straightens itself out and realigns?
