Who knows, one like it could have been used as a set piece once it was no longer in service. Now you make me want to look for one in all the late Troughton, Pertwee and Tom Baker episodes.

Definitely out of the UNIT set on Dr Who.  I could see John Pertwee banging someone in a vinyl suits head on it.

This relic has been long since replaced by products like the 360 Systems Digicart and Instant Replay.  I have used the Instant Replay before and it is easy to master, fast, efficient, sounds great and ~no freaking tapes~ to jam in the middle of a show!J  ….also it weighs about 10 lbs and is a small desktop unit….
