Name your band "Shaved Vagina" and prepare to be on every college playlist in the country. First hit single? "What Goes In Must Come Out"

Well, no matter how you cut it, it can't be "classic".  I think your best bet is to promote it to public and college radio stations - as heavily playlisted as commercial radio is now, it would be next to impossible to break through in that arena.  Best of luck.

I'm trying to ferret out all sorts of internet radio stations for submission of my album/self promotion. And this leads to the question...

What would be the common term for a active band releasing new material that is musically styled like "classic rock" of the classic rock radio type? New classic rock? Just flat out rock? Not sure myself.
