Mark,

Very cool!  Nice to find another Mellotron fan who also loves the ukulele.  I love my ukulele too.  In fact, the only other instruments that come close for me are the Mellotron and the minimoog.  But the little uke really has a charm all its own.  Definitely the antithesis of prog rock.  Part of the appeal for me is that the ukulele is just so uncool.  I spend a lot of my time recording rock/metal/punk bands and when I tell them how much I love the ukulele they often think I'm joking.  I guess I just like to root for the underdog.
If you really love playing ukulele, you should consider investing in something nicer than a Mahalo.  I started playing on a cheap Mexican made laminate model, and when I got a Hawaiian made Kamaka long neck soprano the difference was like night and day.  Like the difference between a toy and a real musical instrument.

Keep strumming!

Steve

This is the antithesis of progressive rock, a song I wrote and recorded in an hour, just fun. No tron just ukulele and vocal.

I really do love my ukulele it is so cheap, simple and immediate.

Enjoy, cringe or ignore as the mood takes you.
