They did it because under export laws they were considered supercomputers.  I have been told that almost every rev is different. Medley did some work on mine and I am good on big audio files but I don't know about video.  SOP in my shop is to max out any memory buss, I would load a big file , freeze, crash was not Pro Tools TDM those times.   


Since I dangled that carrot in front of your nose I have been looking for a clear explanation and these freakin video guys can explain it to me.  They tell this shit afteri have a problem and then go mute.  And I can't find the tech that supposedly sorted me out.
