Hi Gino:

Where do you get this stuff these days?

Also - what is the quality difference between Dynamax and BASF LGR-50?

I usually use 8 track tape for my tape echo machines because it is back coated (lubricated) but i have some recording coming up and I guess I should use the good stuff.

Does anybody want to go in with me on a reel of BASF LGR-50 or Dynamax or Echoplex.  We have three choices, they average about  $70/ reel but 300 feet of tape should last forever.

I have been told that Space echoes are biased for BASF  Dynamax is thick 8 track tape and echoplex tape is for Echoplexes of which I know virtually nothing.

Is Mellotron tape back coated, I know it has many positive attributes.
