It's time for my 2 cents worth. You old farts need to open up your definitions and tolerate things that are different.

There are musicians / composers touring the world making millions without any traditional musical instruments. Deadmau5 for example. Call him a DJ or call him a Electro House Artist. You may not like his music but that's another matter.

Musicians have always delivered political messages with lyrics and speeches. In some cities Gabriel's or Bono's speeches will not go over well while in other cities they will love it. You may not agree with their messages but that's another matter.

When I was 15 my father told me that Black Sabbath were not musicians and their stuff was not music it was noise. I have been tempted to say the same thing about some of the CRAP my son listens to. I try to keep an open mind but it's not always easy!
