In my experience, The orchestron was sonically totally without character. I was hoping that it would indeed be a superior, yet portable version of the mellotron. It succeeded In the portability stakes, but failed miserably in all other respects.
Needless to say, I was soon seen lugging another 400 in and out of my car up and down the land. So underwhelmed was I with the orchestron experience, I only kept it for six months or so.
