Subject: Re: [newmellotrongroup] Wanted Juno106

There are some differences in circuitry eg the 6 had an arpeggiator. I put up to electic hoodoo.

To diverge just a bit.  I gave the Godfather, our own Jimmy Moore an M500 synth.I had two,  The first one I get from Peter Forest at Vemia.  It was a UK or overseas unit and ran on 220v so I hadto use a step up transformer.  I loved it ,it sounded great. The second one is 120v an american unit, worked great ,was cosmetically better and did not move me me likelike my first unit.

There probably is no difference.

I don’t know what the difference was other than MIDI but it did sound different (and better IMHO) but that Juno series is definitely a classic.  They were buth very solid boards and never gave me any trouble (other than when the line voltage was too low, but that wasn’t a problem with the keyboard).

I agree Gary  It is just the Midi,  I have a 6 which is excellent as well but no patch storage. I modded my 106 too much to sell off  For one thing the leds are too bright..

Not anymore, but I used to have one.  It was supposed to be a Juno 60 (which I also had) with MIDI but the 106

never sounded as good as the 60.  I don’t know why anyone would want one (when you can still find the 60’s).

I have a customer who wants to buy a Juno 106,   Anybody got one.

He also paid a lot of money for an Arp Oddy.

I no longer have an Oddy and know this guy is no chump.

Best to all
