Subject: Re: [newmellotrongroup] Tron volume question

I try to keep max volume at the beginning of the line and then trim it as is necessary on down-ie. mellotron at 100% -eq at 75% on down...this seems to give me the best signal to noise ratio

Hi All,

I recently did some reconfiguring with keyboards. This may be a dumb question, but I'm just not sure about best way to handle. I run my Mellotron through an MXR Eq, Alesis Nanoverb, Behringer mixer, and then to amplifier. At each point, there is volume control and in the case of the mixer, I have channel volume, gain, master volume, plus the amp has both channel volume and master. Is there a rule of thumb on how to set all these volume controls? Presently, Tron is at 25% and all else is at 50%. Then, I just use master volume on the amp for overall loudness. Just wondering what some of you do.
