Had a very interesting afternoon messing about with #1565, as you all probably know my tron is a bit of a wreck, in some ways a tribute to Streetly's as it was in storage for over a decade and all I did to it was fix the power supply and keyboard assembly and get Martin to fix the headblock. The case is badly out of true and it's still got the CM10 that seems to work ok. I often still use the tapes that came with it and it's amazing how good it can sound once the sound is processed.

Managed to get a quite pleasing effect ( to me at least ) by processing the sound in Audacity, having recorded it without reverb and using a microphone to record the output of one of my monitor speakers.

After equalising, using high and low pass filters an 8 stage phaser, LFO set to 0.1, copying the result to another track but offsetting it by a 10th of a second, then panning one track to the left and one to the right channel it didn't sound too bad.


Anyway as good a way as passing a wet afternoon in Aotearoa as I can think of today. And since Wales are out of the Rugby World Cup, go the All Blacks!
