My 70’s rig is a Technics SU-7700 integrated amp, Rotelturntable with Stanton 881S cartridge and, don’t laugh, Realistic Mach 1speakers. Used to work at Radio Shack.
Everything still works. Added a CD player when they wereinvented.

My receiver of choice in the '70s was an OnkyoTX-2500 amp/receiver. It's the only DC-coupled amp that I know of. I could pushit full volume through my JBL 4311's without distortion. The Onkyo lasted about25 years and was replaced a few years ago by an Onkyo TX-8511. I don't thinkit's DC-coupled though. The JBL's are still going strong. Both are what my M400goes through.
