A lot of the stuff from that era wasgood gear. Things went downhill when they went away from discretecomponents to
the LSI amps that lowered the cost butreplacement has become so inexpensive that they become throw away products
when they fail. I still have myold McIntosh C-24 pre-amp, MR-71 Tuner, and MC240 power amp but it has beencollecting
dust for a couple of decades and I havebeen thinking of selling it as the prices have skyrocketed over time. Ihad all kinds
of exotic hi fi gear over the years butnothing specia l for a very long time…..
