First order of business was to get my wife’s Autocad station back up and running off the generator…her back up battery was going fast and didn’t seem to want to get the computer on…
Lots of huge trees are down, laying over power lines and in streets.
Saw one power pole snapped in half.
The local Martins grocery is on back up generator.
They have some aisle lights but it is kinda dark...real third world stuff. Only dry and canned goods...all the freezer chilled units are dark, and they had to ship everything out.
A real mess.
If this is anything like Isabel...people will be w/o electrical power for up to two weeks....
As usual after a hurricane, very nice sunny blue sky day…and HOT ……………with no AC.
And the lovely sound of chain saws floating on a gentle southern breeze through my open windows……..
