Well,I've just gotten back online thanks to my emergency generator.
Afterfive small black outs yesterday afternoon, the power finally went down for goodall over my neighborhood at around 5:50PM.
Firstorder of business was to get my wife’s Autocad station back up and runningoff the generator…her back up battery was going fast and didn’t seemto want to get the computer on…
Lotsof huge trees are down, laying over power lines and in streets.
Sawone power pole snapped in half.
Thelocal Martins grocery is on back up generator.
Theyhave some aisle lights but it is kinda dark...real third world stuff. Only dryand canned goods...all the freezer chilled units are dark, and they hadto ship everything out.
Areal mess.
If this is anything like Isabel...peoplewill be w/o electrical power for up to two weeks....
As usual after a hurricane, very nicesunny blue sky day…and HOT ……………with no AC.
And the lovely sound of chain saws floatingon a gentle southern breeze through my open windows……..

3:45PM and the rain is coming down with a blustry roar…. in sheets ….sideways!
My backbackyard is a mess and two small dazed water logged sparrows have taken refugeup under the overhang on my back porch…pitiful sight.
Power has goneoff three times….but forunately it is backon.
Several blocksup the first big tree has come down…50/50 chance of hitting thehouse… and this guy was lucky…
How are youother east coast guys faring?
