The RCA jack on the side of the volume rheostat tower is an aux input. I just played a show using a C3 through a Leslie 147. Instead of bringing a separate amp for the piano parts I ran a Kurzweil K2000 through the Leslie. The RCA aux in is full volume so a volume pedal is necessary. Sounded great.

Going a bit deeper, I use a 122 amp from Goff Professional in the Leslie. The difference between the 122 and 147 amp is the audio is balanced in the 122. I retrofitted the Leslie with a JBL 15 and JBL horn driver. The horn was so efficient I had to install an L Pad for balance. So between the tone control and the L Pad, I can really make the thing spit like Emersons Hammond. And playing the Mellotron emulations from the Kurzweil through the Leslie creates very interesting sounds. I add cathedral level reverb to a choir and with the Leslie on slow speed I get a sound Lennon must have wished for in Tomorrow Never Knows.

Rhodes and Wurlie also sound great. A wonderful little trick for studio use.

Bill
