true dat! Wonderful idiom to play in. Harder to get "right" than it seems, and the skills are transferable to other genres. Actually, my background as a player is mostly from the RnB world, although my one and only album does not hint at that at all. What I'm good at writing is far different than what I'm good at playing. Actually Fritz, that is how it was with me. Once I played with some blues guys I found I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Especially since I was (am) such a progressive rock geek………..
I use to hate blues too, until I had to play it.

At last, someone who agrees with me. Blues is tedious in bulk as is reggae and anything else musically locked into a very narrow set of parameters..........IMHO.
And I find Clapton dull so there.
