Actually, when I was a little boy of about 6, After Church/Sunday School we would have Sunday dinner at my grandparent's house. On several occasions I remember Richard & Pat Nixon being there. Also remember Willard Marriott being there now and again. He and my grandfather were close friends. My grandfather used to take Nixon flying now and again, I am told. My grandfather had the distinction of being the first private pilot to ever land and take off from National airport.

I also caddied for Ed Sullivan, and my wife hit Richard Nixon in the head with a rather heavy door. She was going in as he was reaching for the doorknob on his side.

Anybody else have a brush with fame?
