Hi Fritz,
Here is my Mike Rutherford story. The Summer of 1978, Genesis was doing the And Then There Were ThreeTour. Remember the moving mirrors onstage? Anyway, there was a record storechain in the Midwest called Peaches Records and Tapes. I guess based out of Atlanta, but I was in Cincinnatiat the time. The grand opening ofPeaches was the same day the tour stopped at Riverfront Colliseumin Cincinnati. Rutherford, Banks,Collins, and Sturmer were there. The band was signing albums and sadly notmany people there. I brought my Wind N Wutheringalbum. When asked by Mike why I didn’thave ATTWT, I said I did, but your autograph will show up better on this album. I remember how tall he was and how huge hishands are. A little later, thefestivities moved outside. It became atradition at this Peaches for visiting band to leave their handprints in cementon the side walk in front. The all didit and wrote thier names. Someone pressed a coke spoon into the cementand Mike pulled it out.
Alas, my on,y brush with fame not counting thetime Greg Lake told me to get away from him after seeking an autograph from theWorks I tour.

MikeRutherford seemed like a bubbly chap when I got to hang with the band a bit.
So Genesis, King Crimson, and Yes are grizzled, lazy, grumpymusicians??
