There's a great example of the Female voice on Bobby Goldsboro's "Honey" and a great example of the Male voice at the close of Marvin Gaye's "Mercy Mercy Me"


One of the best Chamberlin records is Neil Merryweather's "Space Rangers". There's many different sounds and it's used in a truly musical way too rather than just a useless gimmick (sorry Kanye)

The other one worth hearing is "Journey Through A Thousand Meditations" and "Indian Melodies" by Edmond S Bordeaux. I think they're still available for download.

These are great records because the Chamberlin really stands out and you can hear it as a main instrument instead of just a background accompaniment.

You are also guaranteed that the sound hasn't been f∗∗∗∗∗d with digitally because of when the records were made. It's the original sound as played from the original tape instrument.
You can listen for the motor drag and wow and flutter amounts here.

These records are both worth hearing if you want a further musical demonstration of the Chamberlin sounds available from Streetly or Mellotron.

After listening to those, you would be making truly informed decisions when you buy because you can hear how they compare to the sounds of the Mellotron. And you can see more why they are complements to each other.

They mix in the middle though which is quite nice.

Someone else with Male Voice on switch "A" and Female Voice on switch "B" would be able to help.

A question about the Solo Female Voice: is it really 17 notes or 25 notes as on the Pinder CD? Maybe the highest 8 notes have been tuned up for the CD?
